What we collect (and don't).
Last updated: 2026-05-02
Plain-English summary
Bruce Labs is a one-person studio. The marketing site you're reading runs on AWS S3 + CloudFront with Cloudflare DNS. We do not run ads, sell data, or set tracking pixels. The few things we do collect are listed below.
Analytics
The site uses privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics or Plausible —
the choice is documented in docs/adr/0005-analytics.md when picked). What this
means in practice:
- No cookies set by the marketing site.
- No personal identifiers stored — we record aggregated page views, referrers, country-level location, and device type.
- No cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting.
If you reach out via email, we keep your email so we can reply. That's it.
Mobile apps
The apps in our catalog (Homeschooler, Rooted, etc.) have their own privacy practices, listed in their respective App Store / Play Store privacy nutrition labels and in their in-app privacy pages. Where the practice differs, the apps' policies apply for app data.
Data residency
Site assets are stored in AWS US-East-1. DNS is via Cloudflare. Email reaches a Google Workspace inbox. Nothing leaves US infrastructure.
Your rights
You can email hello@brucelabs.io at any time to ask what we have on you, request deletion, or have a conversation about any of this. There's no form — there's a person.
Updates
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top. Major changes will be linked from the site footer for at least 30 days.
Note: this page was drafted to be honest and minimal. It is not legal advice and may not cover every regulatory requirement for every jurisdiction. If you operate in the EU, UK, or California and need a fuller policy, please email and we'll provide one.
